Warm, bright, and endlessly loving, Margot is the kind of person kids gravitate toward and parents instantly trust. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, she moved to the United States as a young girl, where after-school and summer enrichment programs became a defining part of her childhood — and sparked a lifelong passion for creating the same safe, joyful, growth-filled spaces for other children.
Margot began as a volunteer and went on to become a teacher at STAR, the nonprofit that runs after-school programs across the Los Angeles Unified School District — one of the largest after-school organizations in the country. She served as a lead teacher at two of the top-rated elementary schools in Los Angeles, and later became the director of her own after-school program under STAR and LAUSD.
With over 20 years of experience teaching and leading children's programs, Margot brings a rare combination of deep expertise and genuine, charismatic warmth. It's what makes her the person you'd want caring for your own kids.
In the summer of 2020, Margot moved to Sedona, Arizona with her husband, daughter, and son — and quickly put down deep roots. Her own children attended Sedona Charter School, the very campus where Sedona Camp gathers, and are now heading to Red Rock High School. Raising her family here has shaped everything about how she runs the camp: this isn't just where she works — it's her kids' school community, her neighbors' children, and the town her family calls home.
In 2023, she officially founded Sedona Camp. Today she's focused on bringing the highest-quality enrichment to Sedona — summer camp, winter camp, spring camp, fall camp, and after-school programs — and has grown Sedona Camp into one of the most loved and trusted camps in the community since opening.

As this chapter comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank Ana for everything she has given to the Sedona Camp community.
This was her final summer with Sedona Camp, and we are so grateful for the time, love, and dedication she poured into our campers. The children and families in our community were truly lucky to have her be part of their lives. She brought kindness, patience, encouragement, and joy to each day, creating memories that will last for years to come.
On a personal note, I have learned so much from working alongside Ana. Her support, friendship, and commitment have helped shape Sedona Camp into what it is today, and I will always be thankful for the time we shared.
While we will miss her greatly, we are excited for this next chapter as she spends more time with her own children and family. We wish her nothing but happiness, wonderful adventures, and countless special moments together.
Thank you, Ana, for believing in Sedona Camp, for investing in our campers, and for making such a lasting impact on so many lives. You will always be a cherished part of the Sedona Camp family.
With love and gratitude,
Sedona Camp
