Warm, bright, and endlessly loving, Margot is the kind of person kids gravitate toward and parents instantly trust.
Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, she moved to the United States as a young girl, where after-school and summer enrichment programs became a defining part of her childhood — and sparked a lifelong passion for creating the same safe, joyful spaces for other children.
She began as a volunteer and became a teacher at STAR, the nonprofit running after-school programs across the Los Angeles Unified School District, serving as lead teacher at two of the top-rated elementary schools in Los Angeles and later directing her own after-school program. That is more than 20 years of experience leading children’s programs.
In the summer of 2020, Margot moved to Sedona with her husband, daughter, and son. Her own children attended Sedona Charter School — the very campus where Sedona Camp gathers — and are now heading to Red Rock High School. In 2023 she officially founded Sedona Camp, and it has grown into one of the most loved and trusted camps in the community.
